A Passionate Life

A passionate Life - book cover

I'm reading a brilliant book at the moment called A Passionate Life by Mike Breen and Walt Kallestad. The book is very practical and an easy read and speaks about passion for Jesus (obviously) using the concepts of significant events that happen in our lives. It could be a wedding, birth of a child, death of a loved one or loss of a job. These are times of significant emotion and can lead to the making (or breaking) of our lives. The authors show how to react to such moments and use a step by step process to build character through them.

Heres a quote

" The essence of being a disciple is spending time with the master himself. Walking and working and eating with Jesus is not about rules and regulations. It's not about how many times a month you go to church, or how many verses you read from your bible every day, or how much income you give to the church. God wants you to do all these things, just for different reasons than the Pharisees had. He wants our hearts" also "Jesus loves you too much to leave you as you are"

I've got lots of copies of this book in the shop and I've halved the price to £3.99 because it is so good.
